When a terrorist attacks and destroys the Kremlin, the U.S. government secretly begins "Ghost Protocol," which ends with the entire Impossible Task Force Mission. Ethan Hunt and his team are blamed for the attack, but in fact it is an operatio, so they can operate outside the constraints of your agency. However, Hunt is warned and if any member of his team is captured during the mission, they will be exposed as terrorists trying to incite a global nuclear war.
